In certain circumstances, Swiss citizens living abroad may join Switzerland's voluntary Old Age and Survivors' Insurance (OASI) and invalidity insurance (IV) schemes. They may also take out health and accident insurance and join Soliswiss, the solidarity fund that helps Swiss citizens abroad safeguard their livelihoods.
